I am a technologist, content creator, and business owner with interests that span computing, gaming, music, collecting, and creative technology. By day, I work in information technology. I have more than 25 years of experience, including work with schools, libraries, and nonprofit organizations. My background includes systems administration, networking, virtualization, information security, troubleshooting, technical support, and experience with MS-DOS, Windows, macOS, GNU/Linux, and other Unix-like systems. After hours, I develop my business, S C M Guru LLC, around my personal interests. That includes buying and selling collectibles such as trading cards, as well as generating income from the content and creative work I produce. My content reflects the things I genuinely enjoy spending time on: trading card games, role-playing games, board games, LEGO building, pinball, classic and retro games, technology, and music creation. I am especially drawn to hobbies that involve systems, strategy, experimentation, collecting, and creative problem-solving. Music is another important part of my creative work. I am a musician and audio engineer with interests in recording, synthesis, sequencing, sound design, mixing, and technology-driven performance. Guitar is my primary instrument, but I enjoy working with a variety of instruments and combining traditional musicianship with computers, synthesizers, and other electronic tools. Although these areas may appear separate, I see them as parts of the same whole. Technology provides the foundation, content creation gives me an outlet for the things I enjoy, and S C M Guru LLC gives me a way to turn those interests into a sustainable business. Across all three, I enjoy understanding how things work, experimenting with ideas, solving problems, and creating something of value from the pieces available to me.
